Auto Saving in Word,
Despite the fact that the option “save autorecover information every …” (attached) is unchecked, the Word continues to save the document automatically! What might be the issue? Best Jamal |

You can't prevent Word from creating a set of temporary files when you are editing a document, if that's what you're asking. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/211632/en-us/ (Description of how Word creates temporary files).

What about in the ADVANCED Section, scroll down to BACKGROUND SAVES and unchecking that? - Not sure if that would do it for you, but might be worth a try.
- Im no expert ... Just a thought. |

All what I want to do is to stop the Word from “Automatic saving”! For example, this option is better managed in the AutoCAD software (attached)! The user is given the right to stop the automatic saving I’m not sure if unchecking the “allow background saves” would work! As you have already advised, it is worth to be tested. Best Jamal |
