![]() Hi I'm creating a word form. One of the questions asks form fillers to select an answer from a drop down box. I'm wanting the answer they select to automatically populate another part of the form. Specifically they select a product from the drop down box and I want the product reference number to appear on the form in an adjacent protected box/field. How can I do that? Thanks ML |

Hi
This can be done programatically but perhaps a simpler way may be to use Excel for your form. I have attached a sample to show how it could work. Cell E2 contains your drop down list (built from cells A2:A11). When you select an entry from E2 a VLOOKUP formula is used D2 to pick up the reference number for that item. Hope this helps. If you need further help then please come back to the forum. Good luck. Tony |

Many thanks. Excel is a good suggestion.
