Default insert object or picture, strange formatting layout

When I insert an object or jpge in the document, the layout is strangely affected so that I cannot see most of the image:

Changing the "Format object" and layout does not help.

ANy ideas?

Hi
Are you able to post an actual page with a sample so I can have a play with?

It appears that you have not established any styles for your document. In this file, if you change the style for your inserted object from "EY Body Text Bullet 1" to "Normal", you will see your inserted object properly.

If you would like to learn how to set up styles for your future docments, please see:
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/concepts/styles.html.

Of course, there are many other links that could help, this is just one of them.

Hope this helps.

(Sorry QTPM/Tony for interupting. I am sure you would have said/recommended something similar.)

Hi
Jim is correct in that it is a Style issue. When I copy to a new document it displays fine.

No problem with the interuption Jim - we are all here to help each other.

Thanks, it seems to happen with pictures as well though and I cannot change the style of a picture.
I have to change the wrap text to Through and then place the picture where I want.
