Default Copy and paste disabled

I had 5-6 Word docs open, along with 4-5 other applications, when I was not able to copy or paste in any Word document. They worked in the other applications. This has happened once or twice before.

Closing all Word docs and reopening them cleared the problem.

Can anyone suggest what might have happened?

I am running Office 2007 on Win XP.

It's probably a poorly designed add-in causing this. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/921541/en-us/.
