How place paragraph number in a text box?
Hello. I want to place a ListNum inside a text box so I can drag that over the white space in a graphic that I inserted from a file via Insert > Picture. These ListNum fields are automatically numbered sequentially through out the document. I could simply put the ListNum field in the body of the document, but that would require an extra line just for that, which does not look very attractive. Nor would it do to put it beside the graphic since that would reduce the graphic's size, hence its readability. However, if I put it in a text box, Word thinks that I'm starting with the number (1). In need all ListNums in this group (set up beforehand and given a name) to increment automatically based on the new one inserted, even when the new one is inside a text box. Thanks in advance for your help. |

You can't. What you can do, though, is to format your graphic with the 'behind text' layout, so that you can move it behind the number.
