What I suggested does work in Word 2010, but apparently not in Word 2007. <Sigh>

You could bookmark the text of each paragraph separately, making sure not to include the paragraph mark. Then add multiple cross-references. This could be time-consuming, obviously.

For what it's worth, VBA wouldn't make the task any easier, as far as I can tell.
