cannot check/uncheck check box but added check box

Hi,

I added "developer tab" in ribbon, then went to legacy tools and clicked check box. It adds check box in screen but if I want to uncheck/check it again, how I can do it?

I even tried product document >> restrict formatting and editing >> allow only this of editing in document >> filling in forms >> and created password

but still I can't check/uncheck
