Default Alternative Language Spell Check Installation Issue

Hey,

I am taking a German class and so wanted to spell check my essays against a German dictionary. I installed the Microsoft language pack for German for the 64x. And though when I go to the language preferences it shows that German is installed (screenshot attached), it still doesn't come up as a dictionary choice in the spell check (image attached).

Any help or insight would be so appreciated!!
