Fancy printing question
Hello everyone! I hope someone has the answer to a vexing question.
I have a Word document formatted with 8.5x5.5 pages. I want to print it so that it can be found as a 5.5x8.5 document. It has exactly 40 pages, so that means for instance that sheet #1 needs to have page 1 and page 40 on one side, and page 2 and page 39 on the other side. Is there a way to do that with Word, or with any application using a Word document. Thanks you so much in advance! |

Goto Page Layout>Page Setup>Margins>Multiple Pages>Bookfold>OK.

2007?
Macropod's instructions don't seem to work in Windows 2007. Guess I need to update?

What aspect do you believe isn't working?

2000 actually
I was mistaken, it's actually Word 2000. There's no "Page Layout" menu and no "Multiple Pages" option. So i assume I have to upgrade or find someone with a newer version to print an original.
Thanks for sticking with me! ^_^ |

Your profile indicates Office 2007, which is why I assumed that's what you were referring to. I don't have Word 2000 installed any more but, if it has the bookfold option, you'll find it under File|Page Setup>Margins>Multiple Pages. Failing that, see: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting...etPrinting.htm
FWIW, Word 2003 & later all have the bookfold print functionality.

Perfect!
That link tells everything I need to know. Thank you so much. It confirms, only 2002 and above have the "bookfold" option -- but there's another way to do it.
Thx again! Kibi |

I found that you print the first 20 then pause and refit all the sheets in backwards and hit print again should do the job ....

That does not produce a bookfold output. Bookfold printing results in four pages per sheet being printed.
