Can't reset the page numbering of a page footer
Hi,
I'm using Word 2007, and I'm having a problem with the page footers: The footer showing a page number of "1-13" is supposed to be the start of a new section of the book, and so it should be page "1-1". How can I fix the footer to say 1-1? I can't seem to find any relevant controls to let me do so; the "Different First Page" checkbox doesn't do what I want either - it wipes out the entire footer, which has some copyright text on it. (I blacked it out in the image). Thanks! |

Your image shows that the field is indeed on page 13 of your document. To start the page numbering from 1 in the new section, access the footer, select the page#, then click on Page Number>Format Page Numbers > Start At, and input 1.
