displaying font list in english

I want all the fonts in the font list to be displayed in english, right now I have amharic fonts and they are all displayed in amharic alphabet. How can I change the font list to be displayed all in english alphabet.

From the "File" menu, select "Options"; From Word Options select "Language" from the left-hand column then define your language preference. (The amharic alphabet is probably the default.) I have never had to change the language but, hopefully this helps.

Edit: I just noticed you were specifically asking about "fonts". If the above process is in error, kindly disregard.

Thank you for trying to help out, but my problem is I don't want to see the amharic fonts displayed in amharic when I use the drop down to see the fonts.
