Unhappy Codes Popping Up In My Text?

I do not know what I have done .... but all of a sudden my text is showing paragraph symbols, and spaces are coming up with a dot in them. I would show an actual sample... but when I paste in this box... the coding goes away.
Is there anyone who can tell me how to get rid of the coding?

Thank you so much,
Faedrie

They're the formatting marks, which you can toggle on/off by clicking on the ¶ symbol on the Ribbon's Home tab.
