![]() I've got a template with a footer for use solely on 2nd and 3rd pages. I'm using a company printed letter head for the first page. I've checked "different first page" but the footer prints anyway on the first page. My page breaks are simply page breaks, not section breaks. This is a two page document I'm working on right now with this problem. I've looked everywhere but cannot find a solution. |

Create a two-page document (eg using a manual page break to create the second page), with the 'different first page' setup. Add the required footer content to the second page footer, then delete whatever you used to create the second page. When you're done, save the file as a template [File|Save As > Save as Type = Word template (*.dotx)] in your templates folder.

Many thanks for your response. I'll try that solution when time permits. I appreciate your help a lot.
