Please help with age calculation!!!
I know this question has been asked ad nauseum. I also know that macropod has written a document all about date and time calculations in Word. Unfortunately, I cannot understand AT ALL what he is talking about.
So....... 1. I have created a form in Microsoft Word. 2. It contains a table. 3. In the table there is a field for Date of Birth. 4. Underneath, I have a field for Age. How do I get Word to calculate the persons age in years (whole numbers) based on today's date (or the date in which the document is opened)? I apologize for asking this again, I just need someone to explain it to me in simple English, step-by-step. Thank you in advance. Microsoft Idiot |

Attach a copy of you form to a post and I'll add the field to it.

Since it appears you only need the age in years, the field calculation can be quite simple. See attached.
