I am really not sure what subject to put on this.
Here is what I want to do and can't figure out if it can be done. I want to create a document in Microsoft word 2012 so when I print it, it will take up half of a letter size page so I can have 2 copies of the document, on the same sheet side by side. Sort of like when you print a 5x7 picture and you have 2 pictures on the same page side by side, except I need the document a little larger than 5x7, I need it to take up almost the entire half of the page. Does that make sense? Does anyone know how to do this. Thanks for your help, Suzanne |

It would be easier to get some 1/2 size paper, then tell Word to scale the printout to fit.

Or alternatively, nearly all printers will support printing two pages per sheet. If you then make your document two identical pages (using letter size in the page payout), it will print both pages half size side by side, exactly as you've described. Just go to the printer properties in the print dialogue to set this.

Here's another idea.
Create a two-row table. Go into the table format dialogue box and: 1. Remove the boders 2. Size the width to 100% 3. Set the spacing between cells as you wish (or alternately, insert a row between the two and adjust it height to suit your needs) 4. Size the row height of top adn bottom rows to fit your needs Then enter, or paste in, your text, copy it, and paste into the bottom row. Best, Ulodesk |
