Hi,
I hope someone can help me. I always have problems with bullets. I'll insert a bullet into a doc that already has text, then somewhere along the way when trying to move paragraphs up or down the bullet won't stay. Word keeps deleting it & then the bullet icon in the toolbar is greyed out. Normally I can fix this with making sure all of my track changes are accepted, but in this file now that's not working. When I closed the file & reopened it, the menu wasn't greyed out anymore, but the same thing happened again, added bullet, then in the next parag. Word deletes the bullet, moves the parag. left justified & I'm back to square 1. Over the years others have had the same issue with some of my docs. Please help. Thank you Michelle |

Place the insertion point in the bulleted paragraph. Click Format | Styles and Formatting. In the task pane, locate the style name applied to the selection. Right-click it and choose Modify from the context menu. Look at the "Style for following paragraph" setting. Make sure that it is identical to the style name (because otherwise another style will be applied as you press Enter at the end of the paragraph). For example, if the style is List Bullet, make sure that "Style for following paragraph" says "List Bullet."
