I am getting the error message:
"Could not load an object because it is not available on this machine." Even after reinstalling Office 2007, no Word doc can be opened without getting this error message. This first began after installing and uninstalling the plugin WordTalk from http://www.wordtalk.org.uk/Home/. Does anyone know how to fix this and get this error message to go away? ![]() |

Hi simstem,
Reinstalling Office won't fix problems caused by faulty addins. Did you uninstall the addin via the Windows Control Panel? If not, whatever process you used probably left remnants behind (eg in the Windows Registry). In that case, you should reinstall it then uninstall it via the Windows Control Panel. Other than that, you can go to Word Options|Addins and check whether the addin is listed. If it is, note the type and, choose that type from the 'Manage' dropdown. Then click 'Go' and remove the errant addin.
