Word Heading Level 1 will not stay (2010)
I have multiple documents that start with Heading Level 1.0.
Document #1 - Heading 1.0 Document #2 - Heading 2.0 Document #3 - Heading 3.0 Etc. Every time I open Document #2/3, the Heading Level 1 restarts at 1.0 even though I have already defined it to start at 2.0. I need to know how to fix this so that whenever the document opens it reflects what I need. TIA |

Attach your numbering to your headings using the rules set out at How to create numbered headings or outline numbering in Word 2007 and Word 2010
and it should work. |

Sorry, I'm not seeing where that article talks about this. I have my headings set up correctly.
