Select the text, go to Borders and Shading, select shading, select your color, and apply to Paragraph in the relevant drop-down field.

1. Select the text to be highlighted.
2. Choose Format | Borders and Shading from the menu. 3. Click on the Shading tab. 4. In the Apply to: drop-down list, choose Text. 5. Click on the color closest to the color you want. 6. Click the More Colors button. 7. Choose a color from the color hexagon, or click the Custom tab and choose any color at all. 8. Click OK and OK again. |
