Hyperlink/Data Insert & replace
I have a sheet/template in Word, that on one cell in the table it asks for the employee's start date. That data is located in a different Excel sheet. Is there a way to have a drop-down or just a hyperlink that leads me to the Excel sheet. The user could then click on the correct date cell and word would then input that date into the same cell/table in word?
I am not sure if the makes sense. So it would be like this: Word Doc: Employee's start date [Hyperlink] (The user would click on the hyperlink and it brings them to an excel form that shows Names and start dates. They click on the start date of the correct employee and it places it into the cell) Word Doc: Employee's start date [9/7/2004] Thanks for any assistance, Jay |

Hi Jay,
In theory, yes, but it would require a fair amount of vba programming and, above all, a means of being able to match the employee completing the document with the records in the workbook.
