Columns - separate management
Hello everybody,
I'm having a problem that is causing me to ...quite soon pull my hair out or run headfirst against a brickwall. I am using MS Word '10, I normally don't, which is the reason I don't know it so well, but in our one specific assignment we are obliged to use MS Word. (i have no idea why) The problem is this: I have a bunch of text - I ll name different parts of them A, B and C. Aaaaaaaaaa.Bbbbbbbbbbb.Ccccccccccccc (This is just an example) When I highlight this text (ctrl+a if it were the only text) and divide it into columns (3 columns) I need A to be specifically in the left, B in the middle and C in the right column. But what I am getting is random placement such that A is in the left along with a part of B in it and a part of B in the middle with a part of C in it etc etc etc. So essentially what I would like you to explain me is how I would be able to manage the contents of each column separately. Is it possible? EDIT: I apologise for such an idiotic question - the thread may be locked. For anybody having a similar issue, use column breaks for each individual part and when put in columns, everything will be where it needs to be. Thanks for the attention Last edited by alvin; 09-18-2012 at 07:34 AM. |

I think you are talking about using a table for columns. Separate A, B, and C by tabs and convert text to table.
