I am using Word 2003, currently under Win 7 (64 bit), previously under XP. I've had this problem under both Win 7 and XP. Recently I completely uninstalled W2003 (using a Microsoft Fixit, which supposedly removed every last shred of W2003), then reinstalled. Still have these problems....
1. Keyboard macros for styles stop working. In particular, pressing Ctrl+Shift+N does not restore a paragraph to normal style. 2. Along with this, customization of the keyboard does not "stick" between Word sessions. I set keys for various functions -- I like to use Ctrl+D for the font dialog box, Ctrl+M for the paragraph format dialog, Ctrl+[ for strikethrough, etc. -- but I exit Word, and go back in, and everything is gone. I have tried deleting Normal.dot, and letting Word build a new Normal.dot. Doesn't help. Anyone have any clues/suggestions? I can't even determine what triggers the problem to begin with. |
