Post make a group of doc files readonly

Hi.
I have several doc files in a folder. I want to make all of them protected as readonly not one by one.
Thank you.

Default

You could simply navigate to the folder using Windows Explorer, select all the files, right-click, choose Properties > read-only.

Note that this sets the Windows read-only attribute, which actually prevents the files being overwritten, rather than Word's read-only recommended setting.
