Default Creating Styles Template?

My company's Word Styles are all screwed up because documents have been created, copied, received from outside, cut & paste, etc.

I'd like to be able to create documents using my own styles. For example, I know the body text style I like, the quotation style, the Header Levels, etc. Is there a way I can create a new "type" document, define the styles I want, and then save that so every time I create that type of document I automatically have the styles I need?

Thanks in advance.

Create the styles in a file and then save in template (*.dotx) format. To create new, untitled documents based on that template, you can just double-click it.
