Multi-level lists not operating
Something seems to have gone peculiar with my MS Word 2007. Multi-level lists do not operate at all. It does not light up when selected. When I click it, it gives the next number, but tabbing results in no second level formatting simply a movement of text across to the next tab. Any advice please ?

To make tabbing work with multilevel lists: Click Office button | Word Options. In the Proofing category, click AutoCorrect Options. On the AutoFormat As You Type tab, make sure that "Set left and first indent with tabs and backspaces" is selected. Click OK twice.
I'm not sure what you mean by "does not light up." If you are referring to the Multilevel List button on the Home tab, note that this is a display bug (introduced with an Office update if I remember correctly); even if you have selected a multilevel list format, the Numbering button will be activated.
