I want to literally make the letters on one line touch the letters on the next line.

For example, if I have

EEEEEE
EEEEEE

you can see that there is white space between the bottoms of the "E"s. I tried to set the line spacing to "Exact" and the same font size that I am using, but that still makes space between the lines. If I set it below that (or to zero) then it seems to clip the top of the letters, but still does not let them touch.

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks!

David

Hi David,

About the only way you could do this would be to put each line into a transparent textbox that overlays the line above, so that its descender space is hidden. Note that, with some fonts, this will result is the bottom of some characters, especially J & Q being chopped off. You may also lose the serifs on top of the T in some fonts.
