Blocking the "Save" button
Hello -
I'm creating a document for other users on a shared network. I want them to be able to fill out the document (it is a form), but do not want them to save the origional copy. Essentially, I only want them to be able to do a "Save as." I am aware of the ability to put a password on the document but I'd like to stear away from any sort of password and instead just block the "save" button. I did some research and from what I can tell, the only way to do this is through some sort of XML code. Has anyone done this before and if so, be willing to guide me through the steps? Thank you. |

Save the document as a template (*.dotx). Double-clicking the file will create an untitled document which will bring up the Save As dialog box when you click Save.
