Question Words in my document were converted to numbers????

all of the words in my document have been converted to numbers. it appears to be the number of the specif page, repeated over the entire page.

ie. 1111111111111111111... (page1)

6767676767676767676... (page 67)

All of my work is gone. i've tried searching for recent files or maybe some sort of back up but there are none. is there a way to get my work back????
