Hi there,
I am currently setting up a user manual for my team. Ideally what I would like to do is link them to a PDF created from a word document, but have the word document editable in the background (only by me) and for the manual to automatically update for my staff whenever the source document is edited. Is this possible? I've got a lot of Visio documents embedded in the word file which is what got me thinking that maybe something like this could be done... Any tips or ideas would be appreciated! |

If you want give your users access to a PDF of your document, simply use the Save As method whenever you want to publish an update and choose the PDF file type. Your Word document isn't affected by this.
Linking to a PDF is a completely separate issue that really has nothing to do with Word, per se.
