Macro for select words?
Greetings wonderful world of Word people who are far more patient than I,
I have pages, and pages (and PAGES) of words and their definitions. Basically a dictionary in a word file. The words are in blue, and the definitions follow in black. Here is an example: accountant n. A skilled person, trained in accounting. One in charge of the financial accounts of a company. What I am looking to do, is create a list of just the words, without the definitions. Is this possible with a macro of some sort? Or am I doomed to cut definitions until my eyes pop out of my head? Thanks! |

You could do this with perhaps just one or two wildcard Find/Replace operations, where:
Find = * Replace = 'nothing' and you set the Find text's colour to 'Automatic' or 'Black' (ie the used colours that you don't want to keep).
