Forcing Chapter Start Pages on Odd Pages
How do I force the chapter start (Heading 1) pages on odd page numbers?
Thanks. |

As a style attribute, all you can specify is "Page break before," unfortunately.
You'll have to manually insert an Odd Page section break. (You should also enable "Mirror margins" and/or "Different odd and even" in Page Setup; this ensures that Word correctly inserts a filler page as needed.)

Stefan,
What does and/or mean? I found Mirrored page. It increases pages by 150, which means I have to check each page for proper breaks ( i have tables and diagrams). It looks like I have to do it. I found Odd Page, Insert section break... this i have to do for each chapter start (heading 1). I did not find this one: "Different odd and even" Thanks. Thanks. |

And/or means at least one of the two options I mentioned. You'll find "Different odd and even" on the Header & Footer Tools Design tab, which activates if you double-click a header in Word.
