Default Doc path

Hi,

on Office documents including Word, there is a way to print the path where the document is stored at the bottom of the page, but I have forgotten how to do this. Can anyone refresh my memory?

Thanks!

Hi cinque,

You can do this with a FILENAME field, coded as:
{FILENAME \p}

Note: The field brace pairs (ie '{ }') for the above example are created in the document via Ctrl-F9 (Cmd-F9 on a Mac) - you can't simply type them or copy & paste them from this message.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the post. I tried this but the path never came up. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

You'll need to update the field (eg F9 or Print Preview). Of course, if the document hasn't been saved yet, it won't have a path.
