Default Footer to Start on Page 1 - skip TOC

I have styleref Heading 1 (Chapter titles) as footer.

It should start at Page 1.

Now it starts at Title page, continues through TOC.

Thanks.

Thanks Charles.

Here is a second problem, doc attached.

1. I defined styleref (heading 2) at the left margin.
2. I entered a few spaces and defined page numbering.

But, I want page numbering at the right margin.

Second problem - second thread. Otherwise you'll miss the best answers.
Never use the space bar to position text.
In your header, before the page number field, press the Tab key twice.

If you think your styleref field will ever give you a string of text longer than half your margin-to-margin distance, modify your header style to delete the center tab and only use one tab key press. (There is a right-tab setting in your header style.)

Thanks Charles.

Yes, sometimes the Heading 2 is longer than half, that is the page number skipping around on the right hand side.

If I delete the center tab, the page number moves to the middle.

Isn't there a way to tell the page number to move to the right?
