Default Using Headers

Hi,

I am listing out functions used at our company so I created a list/header.

I am using the header so all I do is choose the header and then apply it to each item in my list.

1. Fund
A. Fund xyz

Then I use the "->" arrow to make the header change from Major to minor headers.

2. Fund XYZ ->
B. Fund XYZ

Here is the problem, word automatically reformats the style when I change from major to minor header. I want the header to be the format I choose but office is choosing for me.

Thanks but no thanks. How can I stop this program from upadting the format ever single time I change the heading from major to minor?

A header is text that goes at the top of multiple pages sometimes including a date or page number. The text at the bottom serving a like purpose is called a footer.

A heading is a (usually short) line of text to help describe the following text and organize a document. There are various heading styles. I am assuming that you are talking about heading styles.

These are styles.
Understanding Styles in Microsoft Word
You can modify their format by modifying the style. You can save those modifications in a Template so you can use them in future documents without redoing the work.
