Create and save custom heading style

Hi,

I have created a custom heading style and saved it as part of normal template. However there are some documents which still comes without the options of those heading styles.

Can some one tell me how to fix it or what can be the reasn for this?

Text, formatting, and style changes you make to a document's template (including the normal template) do not carry into already existing documents. You can go to the templates dialog and reattach your template checking the box to update styles. Apply the style, then go back and uncheck that box. It should not be left checked!

For what you wan to do, you should save the desired TOC Styles to the desired document Template.

You should be able to get these Styles to automatically apply to existing documents by opening those documents and checking the 'Automatically update document Styles' option (see Devloper|Document Template|Templates. I'm not sure whether you'll then have to close & re-open the document for the setting to take effect.
