code "0020" appearing instead of space chracter in word docm, file
Hello All,
A bit of a strange one. I have docm file (marco enabled word doc) that had an issue with one of the pages converting to pdf. The document crashed a few times then for some reason after one particular crash, the unicode "0020" replaced the space character in two locations on the problematic page. So instead of: How much is that doggy in the window? I had How0020much is that doggy0020in the window? Not actual text, but just to give an idea of what I mean. Does anyone know why this may have occurred and give a technical explanation? Would be helpful to say more than just the doc was corrupted. Many thanks. |

0020 is ASCII code for a space.
What happens if you copy the text into a new non-macro-enabled document and try converting that? What is the source of this text? Was it copied and pasted from the web or from a converted document? |
