Default MS WORD for MAC problems

Dear Folks: I have a new 27" I MAC (12.2) and I basically use it for photo editing and MS Word for MAC 2011 (Version 14.2.3) for documents, catalogues and letters. I have two problems with Word for Mac:

1. "Normal" Style defaults to double space and there seems to be no way to change it to single space, so I use the "No Spacing" Style instead. Is this normal?
2. Word for MAC cannot print envelopes. I know how to print envelopes, I've been doing it for years on my MacBook Pro with an older version of Word for Mac. After I type in the addresses and press print - it defaults to a document page rather than an envelope. I tried my wife's new Mac and she has the same problem. It's a pain typing a letter on one computer, then having to type the envelope on another. Is there a solution to this dilemma?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Russell
