I have created a 1 page document ...... the following is a example just to show how the colons are not aligned. My document the colons are mis-aligned and i do not know how to align them up perfectly.
Time of the day : ##### What is the date today : ##### How many weeks to christmas day : ##### Is today cold : ##### 1. How do i lign up the Colons so they are all in a straight line going down the page 2. I`ve already created my document. Can i go back and lign up all the colons perfectly or do i need to set all this up before creating my document? Cheers Jason Word 2010 |

I think you mean columns.
In that case, you could create a two-column table and put the left-hand data in the left column and the right-hand data in the right column. Alternatively, you could add a tab-stop to the paragraph at a suitable position and insert a tab character between the colon and the data that follows it.

Hi Paul
Thanks for the options I followed your suggestion of using a Tab-Stop.I read up and was able to line up the colons perfectly. Would you have a suggestion for the following.I guess a Tab-Stop but i not sure how this would work 1. I have 12 rows of works. Each row has a sentence between 2 words to eight words long. How would i place a Tab-Stop say 1cm in front of each colon so that the last letter of the last word all line up. Thanks Jason |

Hi Jason,
You could put a right-aligned tab-stop where you want the last word to end.
