Would like to hyperlink in my Exel doc to a specific page/entry in another Word.doc that has ToC. is it possible to "capture" a ToC line/entry and then

Not possible. You can hyperlink to the TOC, as a whole, or to the relevant heading in the body of the document. In either case, you'll need to bookmark the item you want to hyperlink to. You cannot use bookmarks to individual TOC entries, as they get deleted whenever the TOC updates.
