Default First Pages Roman, other normal numbers

Hi,

I am finalizing my dissertation where I need to set Roman numbers for Introduction part and numerals for Chapter 1 onwards.

How can I tackle this issue? I have tried a lot experimenting but it was all in vain.

thanks
