Default custom dictionary of full names?

We need a way to spellcheck full names. By that, I mean first name plus last name. So, if the dictionary contained the two names "Jon Burns" and "John Smith", then the name "Jon Smith" would be flagged as misspelled.

To do this we need a way to have multiple words entered as a single dictionary entry. Is there any way to accomplish this?

You could add the full names to Word's custom Dictionary but, as 'John', 'Jon', 'Burns' and 'Smith' are all valid words in their own right, neither 'John Burns' nor 'Jon Smith' would be flagged as a spelling error.

I don't think that would do it.

Here's another example of what we need:

A custom dictionary would contain the names of all the American presidents, so "George Washington", "John Adams", "Thomas Jefferson", "James Madison", etc.

Then in a Word document, if the name "George Madison" is entered, it should be flagged as misspelled.

If just the individual first names and individual last names were entered, then any combination would be considered valid. . . which is not what we need.

Thanks for any help with this.

Please read carefully what I posted.

In your latest scenario, Word would not flag 'George Madison' as a spelling error because both 'George' and 'Madison' are valid words in their own right.

What you are asking for could only be done with combined names whose component parts are not themselves valid words. Thus, if, say, you had a name like 'George Madison', but you input 'George Mazison', only 'Mazison' would be flagged as a spelling error. Similarly, if the real name was 'Geolge Mazison', and you had that string in your spelling dictionary, then either Word on its own would be flagged as a spelling error.
