Automate actions in MS Word
Greetings,
I am trying to create a Word document in MS Word 2003 that will be used as a template. The template is a survey. Each question of the survey has an instruction. The user is expected to delete the instruction and answer the question. Challenge #1: 1) Display a reminder in a dialog box when saving the template to delete the instructions. 2) The dialog box reminder should no longer appear on the save once the user has answered YES that the instructions have been deleted. Challenge #2 3) Provide a space in the template where the user is expected to type in text. The area will be labeled as [Click Here to Enter Text]. When the user clicks on the label, the label will disappear. The pointer will be positioned on the starting position for the user to begin entering text. I do have programming experience but have not used Microsoft's macros extensively. I am not sure if Visual Basic will be needed to complete this exercise. I do not have VB experience nor do I have the application. Any comments or suggestions would be welcome. Thank you, Raymond |

Automated Actions in Word
Hello Raymond,
Maybe you could try using Field Codes to solve your problem. Please see the attachment for an example. Kind regards, Zade |
