Remove unwanted Page in a Section Break
I have a document with no section breaks. But when I insert a section break to commence on next page it inserts a blank page. So I have my document as per normal with 10 pages, insert a break for next page this makes this page No. 11 which is blank, and then the remaining document commences on page 12. I have tried deleting the break and inserting it again. I have broken the document up into two files... but this really isn't a great idea, but could get it to work. But I WANT TO KNOW why I get this blank page. I am using the break to change the headers and footers. I read on site somewhere to go into WORD OPTIONS/ADVANCED and under layout options select the option of LAYOUT FOOTNOTES THE WAY WORD 6.X/95/97 does, of course it doesn't work because my problem is the break and changing the Headers and Footers. I am pretty good at Word, but this has got me stumped. Thanks for any help I can receive. |

Display nonprinting marks, for example by clicking the ¶ button on the Home tab, and make sure that the section break itself hasn't ended up at the beginning of the seemingly blank page.
You should also verify, in the Page Setup dialog box, that the type of section is in fact "Next page" (or "New page"), and not "Odd page."
