Default How do I place a text box inside of a picture and still have background show through

Hello,

I put a text box inside of a picture in microsoft word but the text box is blocking the picture. I chose the option draw textbox and I put the textbox in the picture and then choose layout:"in front of text".

When I choose this option the text box blocks the picture. I want to have the picture appear behind the text and not have the textbox block parts of the picture behind it with the solid white background that appears in the text box.

How do I put the textbox in the picture without having it block the picture? For example I want to be able to place text ontop of the head of an animal in the picture but only have the "text" appear ontop of the dog's head, not the large white area around the textbox that blocks the entire head. I want to be able to see the head behind the textbox (have the box be transparent and allow the picture behind to be seen with text in front).

Please give me the exact steps. Thank you.

Either set no fill on the text box or increase the value for transparency. If this is a Word 2007 (*.docx) file format, right-click the text box border and choose Format Shape. Look in the "Fill" category.

If the file is in Word 97-2003 format (*.doc), the context menu option is called Format Text Box. You'll find the fill and transparency options on the Colors and Lines tab.
