Header only on selected pages
I have a 25 page document created in Word 2003. I want to place a header on pages 5-25 only, with no header on pages 1 thru 4. Is this possible? I know how to skip the header for the first page only, but am wondering if "no header" can be applied to other selected pages after the first page. Thanks.

Yes. At the end of the section where you want no headers (front matter) you add a Section Break - Next Page. When you are editing the header in the second section, unmark "link to previous." Then put in your header text. It will not appear in the first section.
See Sections / Headers and Footers in Microsoft Word 2007-2010 and How to set up a document with front matter 2007. |
