Updating Links Make the Table Disappear
I'm pasting tables into Word from Excel as linked Excel objects. I was testing that the date in Word would update when I changed the source table data in Excel. I hit F9 in Word and all of a sudden, my entire document disappears and I am left with the equivalent of a new blank Word document. The file however is still the same size (after I save it) as it was when I started, so i know that the data is there, but I can't see it any longer.
Is F9 the correct way to force the links to update? Anyone know why my data is disappearing? Thanks. |

Hi joatmon,
F9 is certainly one valid way of updating linked content. Without seeing your document, however, I'd be guessing as to why the content disappeared.
