Default remove color from find/replace?

I work with various colors in some of my documents. Occasionally (frequently this weekend) I have need of replacing the colors in bulk. That is no problem for the first time (because no color is specified in the find/replace box). But after selecting a color to replace, there is no way to make it look for anything without specifying a color (such as "automatic" which is black).

Is there any way, short of saving, closing Word, and then re-opening the document to make it search for a item (or a specific word) regardless of the color?

For example, let's say that I need to replace all line breaks (^l) with paragraph breaks (^p). Unless I restart Word, it will only look for line breaks with a specific color attached to it (whatever the last color was I was using). When I restart Word, there is no color selected, and so it will find every line break, regardless of the color attached to it. Is there any way to get this default "no color selected" option without restarting Word?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Cobb,

With the 'More' panel displayed, click on 'No formatting' to clear whatever formatting you've previously been using.
