thank you for you input.
I did get it to work shortly after I posted my problem
When I was clicking on the hyperlink option in the bar across the top it wasn't getting me anywhere. Then for some reason I decided to try clicking on the highlighed word(s) and up came a mini board with a hyperlink option, clicked on it and woola...hahaha...it worked.
Who knows why the other way didn't work?
