Hey Guys,


I've been struggling with something for a while now and am hoping someone can help out here.

I have a large excel spreadsheet that is functioning as my main pricelist database.
I am trying to pull certain sections of information out of this to create a nicer looking, easy to navigate, printable pricelist for people to reference quickly and easily. The main pricelist is being broken up into about 50 individual sections on the printable pricelist so there are many linked selections. It is also important that the printable pricelist stays automatically synced with the main pricelist.

I have followed the guidelines to 'paste special' 'link as' 'excel spreadsheet' but for some reason, when I open the word document and it asks if I want to update and I click 'Yes', it does not update. I can right click an individual section and update the link, or select and hit F9, but it will not update all of them at once automatically.
When I highlight the entire document (regular text as well as linked excel selections), and then hit F9 or right click - update the Word doc just freezes and I have to restart. I'm not sure if this is because I am updating 50+ links, or if it is something else.

Can anyone help guide me through the process on how to get these to automatically update and achieve having a main database as well as a trimmed down simpler printable database that automatically synch with each other? I'm behind schedule on this project and need to finish it ASAP!
