Default Word paper sizing

Have attempted to create Custom Label for paper that is 4.25" X 11", the actual labels are 1" X 4". The only choices in my MSWord version is 8.5"X11" or A4.

The problem is attempting to print a label on this paper as the printer rejects the printing indicating that the paper size is incorrect.

Does anyone have a solution for using these narrow labels?

Thank you.

You may have a printer issue if you have set your parameters correctly.

Because MSWord does not provide the parameters you specify...you can create the labels yourself at Mailings/Labels/Options/New Label and defining the parameters. I have attached a file with your parameters as an example (I used a "Table" to create. You may opt to create with another method).
Attached Files
File Type: docx Labels_Created.docx (13.1 KB, 14 views)

The file still opens as if viewing an executable file. Maybe I'm missing something as there doesn't appear to be a way to install the file as template for the label generator.

Thank you.

Ironically, Word 97 would not open the file as docx, but Kingsoft Writer did.

Thank you for taking the time to help with this problem.
